the Lions are both sad and happy to see Harold Branch call it a day. he has been backfield coach since 2082. Lions went 249-79 during his tenure. 249 wins as a coach with one team may be a record
Lions have lots of talent across the board. not quite elite all the way and some age creeping in but we are ready to bounce back after a shutout loss in playoffs to Rajwadi
its not gonna be easy tho. awest827 has returned to the top with the Tornadoes just as he was in the Brazzaville days. and Rajwadis roster is ridiculous, years of agressive draft pick accumulation has paid off in a big way
regardless, Lions are ready to roar. they are upset they didnt have a chance to win Ultimate Showdown in Cairo which would have given them one in each of their division rivals homes. Lagos is 25 - 4 over the last nine post seasons with 5 championships. gonna continue the push with a new QB..... T osser wasnt up to the challenge, we miss Ritter.........enter Puente, distant relative of Tito
we start the season with 4 away games. we face the Canada division and the Europe division, two divisions that have been struggling in recent seasons besides a few break out teams. Trident are looking good
a shakey stretch put Lions fanbasae on edge, but seems they may be back on track
Knowles comes up large with a 225 yd 3 TD showing, newly signed QB Lepage is Lagos current all time QB rating leader and the legendary Leon Patton (older brother of Leopold) returns to record a sack after his wifes emergency premature birth of twin boys. he told the team to release him in order to sign a QB since he wasnt sure if he would be returning to football, but the twins are healthy and he can focus on chasing QBs again. luckily no team picked up his contract. he is now 3 shy of the team record 120 set by Aloysius St. James
congrats on the twins, Leon! set that record!
Lagos has slipped to 14th in the programs power rankings.......whatever!
That the Lagos team is a benchmark in the league is something I believe no one doubts. We always strive to improve our game and play as well as they do. We finally succeeded, in at least one aspect. We are tied in the number of turnovers per game...it would be comical if it weren't tragic.
smiles have returned to the streets of Lagos. the new QBs performance has been ideal. just one road game the rest of the regular season facing a combined opponents record of 23 - 37
Lions dynasty stretch seems to have concluded. is it time for a rebuild? Knowles and Harber tandem has reached the end of the line and HC Bonilla is approaching retirement age
its hard to keep a team at the top for extended periods. gotta rely on making nifty acquistions in ultra competitive free agency market, getting lucky during the mid rounds of draft and trading. Lions management has done well and has accumulated some talented youth on the roster..... but with Rajwadi and Tornadoes representing a new dominate cream of the crop perhaps it is time to acquire draft capital. problem with that is Lions organization struggles with the concept of not winning now
congrats to Knowles for setting all time post season rushing td record. also he is almost one thousand yards ahead of the next closest in career post season rushing yards, 59% more than the legendary Payton Walters. im thinking that is an untouchable record
and to Milton Lepage....thank you for your services! it was a thrilling ride. i suppose he will return to commercial real estate now
to Brian Puente....get your act together, man. if you **** the bed in 2099 .....just figure it out
