in 2079 he was moved to head coach from defensive coordinator after being hired from the Prizefighters. in 2080 he won his first Ultimate Showdown and in 2089 he won his second. he compiled a record of 152-60 during his time. until i am corrected, i believe 152 wins as head coach with one team is an all time league record
he intends to spend more time with his family and duck hunting
his legacy in the Lions organization is cemented
Lions struck out with all of thier high ticket free agents this time around. tough off season thus far
Dustin Bonilla has exceeded all expectations as the new head coach of the Lions. they are playing as well as they ever have. rookie RB Lawrence Knowles has a ton of potential and is being mentored by the terrific King Ramses III. the undesirable outcome of free agency was off set by a rich draft class
it seems the Lions future is as bright as its ever been
from the front office to the fan base, everyone is ecstatic about the Lions recent picks. that is 13 players who will be getting significant snaps for at least the next seven years out of the last three drafts. best string of draft luck ive ever had in this game. certainly makes up for underbidding on the big ticket free agents for the past few off seasons
Lions are also happy to announce that King Ramses III will be returning to his RB#2 role. the idea of transitioning him to o line due to his strength and run blocking abilities was nixed after coaches noticed he did not lose much speed after turning 30
im thinking that maybe he did not lose speed at 30 because i already had him switched to LG before camp? not sure. if yall wanna help me do research to see if it is possible to squeeze one more year out of 30 year old RBs try this.......before end of season, transition your 29 year old RB into o line. after camp, note the change in speed and weight gain. Ramses III did lose some speed, but it was due to weight gain. he is currently at 85 speed but 9% overweight. once his weight drops off from being transitioned back to RB, he should return to 88 speed, which he was at in his prime iirc
the Lions fully intend to compete for an Ultimate Showdown victory again this season and are pleased that there are no signs of a rebuild in their immediate future
Lions announce that they will not be resting any starters in week 16. a chance at 16-0 is too pretty to pass. stud RB Lawrence Knowles is ready to suit up in week 16 after an injury riddled season. thankfully both RB#2 Ramses III & RB#3 Erik Harber both achieved 1000 yards and 8 TDs in his absence - tacking on to a long line of rushing success in Lagos
they have now led the league in rushing for 6 consecutive seasons
Lions are looking as strong as ever but are taking nothing for granted. it is surely any given Sunday here in ULRO, the competition is omnipresent
Lions lose starters QB Maxwell Ritter, CB Hector Sandoval , LT Luther Holmes, LG Garret Tanner, MLB James Cassette & FS Caleb Quintana to retirement and free agency
Happy Max completes his career with 47 career TD passes (regular season) and 5 Nelsons. good luck finding anyone anywhere in the universe with that ratio (9.4 to 1!!!). in this last season he threw for 4 TDs & 6 INTs during regular season and then proceeded to pass for 4 TDs & 1 INT in 4 the playoff games. absolute Lagos Legend. he will be missed. now it is Pass Toss ers turn (cant use the word toss er in MFN which i think is hillarious). inside circles say Ritter taught everything he knew to Pass. anything other than another Nelson will be a dissapointment for the entitled Lagos fan base.....no pressure Pass!
Sandoval led the team in tackles last season. he is second all time in tackles for the Lions. we were hoping he would get more INTs but he only has 12 in his career. we had to let him go test the free agent market. why these 30 year old players think they deserve a 30 mil bonus? i dont get it. we wish him the best in Mexico City
Holmes leaving was our mistake. attempts at renogiating with other player sto make room were not succesful. which makes me wonder how the queue works. Lions ended up making room for him to resign, but suspect he was queued before the others and rejected the offer by default since the money was no there yet. either way we shouldnt have waited until the end of season to figure it out. Pirates got a good one but at 20% retirement probability
Tanner was a bit of surprise. 32 year old offensive lineman only played one year of a bonus heavy $99,487,213 four year contract. thanks, Tanner......enjoy your ring
Cassette & Quintana were steady rocks on D but reached the "not worth the bonus" age. we should have had them signed for one more year, but they are clearly on the way out. Cassette recieved a handsome contract from the Anchors while Quintana will suit up for division foe 86ers. see you soon, Caleb
so losing a few players in off season is a part of the game. we wish them all the best
welcome to Shawn Wooton, Kai Xu, David Moody, James Harris, Todd Oglesby, Robert Harmer & John Hall
