Let's not forget Guazues, we only lost against teams 7-0, and 2 of those games were very close.

have no wins against a team above 500 tho. we will see how Rosario matches up with the champs

welcome to the halfway point. was expecting a few trades but nothing. here is where we are at

Franks Power 8

1. Lions - win big match of the only 7 win teams in Guayquil
2. Tornadoes - first loss of season to #1 Lions doesnt bump them a spot while they reclaim top spot in the programs rankings
3. Anchors - are now 7-1 but have had a weak strength of schedule. big test for them in Rome approaching
4. Heroes - tough road ahead for them. next three opponents are combined 20-4
5. Praetorians - also have first loss of season but stay on top of Europe
6. Revolution - Philly sticks it to the champs and maintain control of USA
7. Pirates - Shanghai puts on a clinic in Prague and stays on top in Asia in a three way tie
8. Strongbows - claim 6 in a row after bumpy start and threatening to take lead in Europe

the champion Butchers have dropped out of the Power 8 for the first time ever after losing to an arch rival for their third straight, dropping them to 4-4. i wouldnt give up on them tho. Zippers just miss out on returning due to their week 6 loss in Dublin

rough week in Europe. entering week 10 ....lets go!

Franks Power 8

1. Lions - "What does it matter how good the other team is? If we do what we gotta do then it doesnt matter what they do. We focus on our game and let them deal with it. Are we supposed to lose to a good team? A lot of times i dont understand why y'all ever ask these questions. You put any thought into them? What do you think you would do if you were a coach? The objective is rather simple, is it not? Try coaching sometime, it could be an adventurous career change for you. Time?" - Lions HC Dusin Bonilla

2. Tornadoes - "That was great. Payton , awest827 & I go way back as you know. It was awesome seeing him get the TD in our face and I really hopes he breaks the record. He is a true standout character. I am so very happy for him" - Tornadoes HC Brad Taylor

3. Revolution - "Ive been doing this since 2076, you really think i give a **** about Franks Power 8" - Revolution HC Frank Varney

4. Pirates - "The Lions arent any more important to us than any other team, period. We are playing well now but we have 7 more games to go and they are all equally important. We can't slip." - Pirates HC Robert Thorpe

5. Anchors - "I believe losing to a division rival on a FG in OT is the worst way to lose. Would probably prefer an **** whoopin. At least we would have something to talk about" - Anchors HC Dale Ellis

6. Heroes - "I couldn't ask for a better bunch of guys in my first year as head coach than the one I have and I mean that one hundred percent. We are building. We might not win this season but we are going to do what we can. And then the same each year until we do win it" - Heroes HC Fausto Samuel

7. Praetorians - "Philadelphia has a quality squad and today they played better than us. It is that simple. Maybe they are the better team or maybe we are, hopefully we get another shot. They played well today and we did not." - Praetorians HC Jerry Allen

8. Butchers - "It is a long season. Sometimes it feels that its over fast but I can tell you when you are in it.......in it to win it....there are many things to consider when it comes to winning football games. The steps back provide a great training tool. We watch the video and we see as a team when we werent executing as this team is capabable of. It is actually my favorite time of the week." - Reigning Ultimate Showdown Champion Butchers HC Patrick Hughes

tough week for the road teams. #8 was not easy to decide this time around

PFR = Predicted Final Record

Franks Power 8

1. Lions - the Lions are 10 - 0 after defeating the Pirates in OT and have a legitimate shot at going undefeated (until i typed that haha). they have a tough game this week hosting the Heroes and travel to Toyoma to close the regular season, but otherwise they only face Africa teams who have a combined record of 7 - 23. Lagos leads the league in rush yards per game on both sides of the ball resulting in a 128 yards per game margin. for reference, half of the leagues teams average below 128 rushing yards per game total. they have claimed the Africa division in week 10!!!.......confidence levels in Lagos are erupting PFR 15-1

2. Tornadoes - the Tornadoes sleepwalk through three quarters but wake up in the fourth to win at home. they remain on top of the New World and are favorites to represent in the Ultimate Showdown. they have a point differential of 102, which leads the league. as predicted, awest827 has built Guayaquil into a perennial contender in short order. after 10 games they have allowed just 70 points and QB Arthur Gayle has just one turn over. they host the Kraken this week then after they have no opponents over 500 PFR 15-1

3. Revolution - the Revolution needed just one touchdown to defeat division rival Nashville and improve to 8-2. they are one of three teams to yet allow 100 points and are currently on the leagues second longest winning streak. they have a two game lead on the champs in USA and a favorable schedule on the horizon. thier two losses were to teams expected to make the postseason and on the road PFR 13-3

4. Pirates - the Pirates lose to the #1 Lions in OT to stay put at #4. they co lead the toughest division Asia with the Zippers who they will be facing twice in the next 4 weeks making a relatively difficult remaining schedule. they are second in the league in scoring PFR 11-5

5. Butchers - the champs jump all the way up to #5 with a dismantling of Rosario at McDonalds Stadium. Chicago is #2 in rushing total thanks to RB Arlo Dean, who leads the league. not an easy road for them from here out....two vs Bobcats and a trip to Dublin is in the cards. nobody wants to face the Butchers in the playoffs PFR 10-6

6. Zippers - the Zippers re enter with a win over previous #6 Heroes. seems they have addressed the issues that resulted in the loss to the Tide. they have not lost to an Asia team but have three division matches coming up making a difficult remaining schedule PFR 10-6

7. Anchors - the Anchors fail to score a TD and drop their second straight to fall two spots. they keep a one game lead in Oceania and lead the league in interceptions, sacks & turnover margin. that is impressive. they have a few tough games on their schedule including next weeks match vs the Praetorians...a game both teams need a W to pull out of their funk PFR 11-5

8. Kraken - the Kraken crawl back into the Power 8 with a win over the struggling Nanooks. RB Micahel Perez is having another productive season while QB David Nowell is struggling with interceptions. might be a short stay in the Power 8 for the Kraken...they enter Guayaquil as 12 point underdogs PFR 10-6

Franks Power 8 heading into week 12

1. Lions - remain undefeated with a win vs Heroes
2. Tornadoes - keep pace in the New World with a victory over the Kraken
3. Revolution - complete destruction in Prague and RB Eric James runs wild
4. Pirates - shut out the Manta Rays
5. Zippers - protect home turf from Rajwadi. Pirates visit next
6. Strongbows - defeat the Prizefighters and improve to 8-3 which leads Europe
7. Macaws - make first appearance of the season with 4 straight wins
8. Praetorians - return with a win over the previously #7 Anchors

the program got it right with the "game of the week".....all eyes on Toyama. we also got Strongbows vs Anchors (division leaders) , Heroes vs Bushmasters (6-5 teams battling for position) & Revolution vs Trident (many people betting on the Trident)
