its been a bit since i did power rankings. cant say ill be doing them every week, but here is where we are at after 9 games in 2092

1. Strongbows - only undefeated team says enough. every other team has at least two Ls
2. Lions - defending champs have a clear path to winning their division and are playing well after a tough loss in Jakarta
3. Kraken - they are 2nd in yards per game on both sides of the ball. Perez & Nowell are in high gear
4. Zippers - having a 7-2 record is tough to do in Asia. both their losses are from the division
5. Tornadoes - a home loss is a speed bump after a rocket start for them. the fourth and last team on this list to yet allow 100 points
6. Pirates - they are just 1.5 seasons removed from their improbable championship run and hold a 6-3 record in the loaded Asia division. just pulled off a convincing 20 point victory in Chicago, Butchers worse home loss since 2089
7. Macaws - currently riding a 4 game win streak, second longest in the league
8. Butchers - barely make the list over the Sharks. they look to rebound during their two game homestand versus two formidable opponents

What an honor to see the Macaws making the Power 8!
Let just hope we can cope with the injuries suffered last week and keep the winning streak alive.

1. Strongbows - Dublins finest lead the league in both points scored and points allowed while remaining undefeated. they have a 50/50 chance of going 16-0........either they will or they wont! i hope they do. big test next game hosting the Zippers
2. Kraken - Quebec is becoming a force in the New World. they have the inside track to the 1 seed and are in high gear. they are tied for most points scored and lead in yards from scrimmage
3. Lions - a curious loss to an unmanned divison rival has sparked some question marks, yet they are 7-3 and are still holding the gold
4. Macaws - hot win streak extends to 5 after a visit to hapless Nanook. concerns on defense are being tested next week while hosting the Kraken
5. Butchers - Chicago snuffs a late game attempt at victory from the Heroes to get back into the win column. they havent had a losing season since 2072. that was 20 seasons ago
6. Zippers - another divisional loss puts them at 2-3 in Africa
7. Sharks - enter the Sharks! a big road win vs the previoulsy ranked Pirates propels them into the power 8
8. Tornadoes - drop three spots after a tough loss in Auckland. they hope to avoid a third consecutive loss but are heading into Chicago

1. Strongbows - hold on to top spot. despite the loss they are still 2 games up on the rest of the league. they are now the only team to yet allow 100 points
2. Macaws - move up to two spots after defeating the previous #2 Kraken. their win streak now stands at 6
3. Butchers - Chicago also jumps two spots after defeating the previous #8 Tornadoes. they head into Phila for a big time divisional game
4. Zippers - Toyama slams the door on Dublins hopes of an undefeated season to leap 2 spots in this weeks rankings. RB Alexander is having an efficient season
5. Kraken - Quebec drops to #5 after losing a tough game on the road and the inside track to the one seed. the chase for top spot in the New World is gonna be popcorn worthy. Quebec remains in the thick of it with their number one offense and number three defense
6. Lions - the Lions drop three spots after barely pulling out a home win vs an unmanned Tide. they have been outscored 26 - 22 in their last two games, each vs a noncontender. they remain first in most key offensive rushing stats and rushing defense
7. Sharks - Brisbane stays on top of Oceania in their pursuit of their first division title
8. Guazues - Rosario moves in as representative of South America thanks to thier 4 game win streak which includes 3 road games. they are second in defensive yards per game. we are still waiting for Wangs next TD!

two weeks in a row that each division leader makes the list

big games in week 12

Heroes @ Lions Lions are favored by 14 somehow, that aint gonna happen. they hope to get into a better groove as they gear up for the postseason. however, defeating the Heroes and amalric7 is never a walk in the park. Ulaanbaatar was 13-3 just last season and havent had a losing seasons for 12 years. Heroes need the W to keep their postseason hopes alive

Owls @ Stronbows Strongbows look to clinch Europe with a win in week 12. yes, week 12

Pirates @ Manta Rays Jakarta is on a three win streak while Shanghai has lost two. this is a big game for both teams. its a must win for the Manta Rays while the Pirates look to return to form as the playoffs get closer

Butchers @ Revolution a loss for the Revolution would be devastating to their hopes of a divisional title

Bayhawks @ Bobcats Bobcats absolutley need a win to salvage their season in which they started 6-1

Hyped for the rivalry matchup but not to much hope. For any reason my coaches decided to reduce the running game to a minimum after a great run heavy season last year.

1. Strongbows - three field goals in the fourth quarter clinches Europe for Dublin in week 12. they shouldnt have trouble with recently liquidated Vancouver next week
2. Butchers - Chicago keeps the inside track with a victory over division rival Revolution. they have just one loss to a New World team
3. Zippers - Toyoma beats the snot out of the Deities as they head into ownerless San Francisco
4. Kraken - Quebec gets back on track with a victory on the reigning New World champions turf. 3 of their last 4 games are on the road including Chicago
5. Lions - Lagos tallies another W to keep a 2 game lead in Africa
6. Guauzes - Rosario jumps two spots and takes the lead in South America with a 5 game win streak, the longest current win streak in the league
7. Macaws - the Macaws got bounced hard at home and fall 5 spots. they keep a two game lead in the Mexico/Central America division
8. Dire Wolves - Yukon is undefeated ever since the announcement that Dire Wolves have been reintroduced to the earth and enter the Power 8

teams ranked second have been having a tough time

big games in week 13

Kraken @ Dire Wolves neither team has a divisional loss. the winner of this game will take control of Canada

Rajwadi @ Pirates Rajwadi is surging on a 4 game win streak while Pirates look to avoid falling below 500

Lions @ Bushmasters the last time these teams played the Lions hoisted their 4th Ultimate Championship trophy

Bobcats @ Tornadoes both teams are 7-5 and looking to improve seeding position. Guayaquil needs to break their 4 game loss streak to challenge Rosario for South America

Four injured players on Week 12 and a very tough loss for the cuban team at home.
I hope the team can get a couple of W to secure a Playoff spot, but it's not gonna be easy.

1. Strongbows - one victory from clinching the the Old World one seed
2. Butchers - a four game win streak puts them in position to all but wrap up the New World one seed with a victory at home vs Quebec
3. Zippers - Toyoma clinches a playoff berth with a three game win streak. they clinch Asia with a victory next week
4. Kraken - Quebec bounces the Wolves from the Power 8 in a big time divisional game for a commanding lead in Canada
5. Lions - clinch a playoff berth with a win in San Jose and look to clinch Africa with a win in Brazzavile
6. Guazues - win streak is now up to 6 but are not yet in the clear with Tornadoes on their tail
7. Sharks - Brisbane returns to Power 8 with a home feild defense from division rival Auckland
8. Stampede - Brazzaville makes their first appearance in the Power 8 with a three game win streak

top 6 stay the same as the playoff picture begins to take more shape

big games in week 14

Rajwadi @ Revolution two talented teams at 7-6 looking for a big win to get into the postseason but only one victory to be had

Bobcats @ Pirates same story as above

Kraken @ Butchers it doesnt get much bigger than this in the regular season. both teams are 10-3. winner takes inside track to the one seed with two games to go. Butchers are favored by 9, i dont see that happening

Dire Wolves @ Macaws both teams were bounced from the Power 8 and are 8-5. Macaws clinch the M/CA division with a win

Lions @ Stampede a timeless classic. Lions clinch Africa with a win

1. Strongbows - they win again to clinch the Old World #1 seed in week 14. they are on pace to record more sacks than any team since the 2078 Heroes
2. Kraken - a huge win in Chicago thanks to Shogun Kamimuras dramatic pick six in OT has them back in the #2 slot but more importantly they now have inside track to New World #1 seed
3. Lions - the champs are sitting pretty at 11-3 in the Old World but are unable to rest in their quest for the #2 seed
4. Butchers - a let down for the Butchers in a major game but not a discouragement. they still have a shot at the #1 seed
5. Guazues - winners of 7 straight have clinched a playoff berth as they aim next for the South America crown
6. Zippers - perhaps a late season loss is what the Zippers need to kick into high gear for the post season
7. Prizefighters - after 6 consecutive wins ownerless Manilla can not be left off the list any longer. they now have the inside track to claiming the Oceania division
8. Tornadoes - Guayaquil returns to the Power 8 thanks largely to their defense who has allowed just 139 points thus far....good for third in the league

big games in week 15

Pirates @ Rajwadi there are two more playoff spots open in the Old World and these teams are among the 5 that are fighting for them...winner of this game gets a big boost. if Pirates lose they are eliminated

Gauchos @ Tornadoes Tornadoes enter postseason with a win

Lions @ Macaws Macaws clinch Mexcio/Central America with a win while Lions still need to fend off the Zippers and Prizefighters for the #2 seed

Dire Wolves @ Kraken Kraken get closer to clinching #1 with a win while the Dire Wolves hope to punch thier ticket to the postseason in a classic Canada matchup

just two games to go. good luck to all the teams on the fringe hoping to get in
