We just woke up to one of the worst news we ever had, our veteran star Boogie Barker has decided to put a stop to his carreer with only 31 years.
He had an amazing carreer but unfortunately we coundn't give him a championship ring.

He retired with this stats:
6 seasons played with a total of 6055 rushing yards, 17 rushing TD, 2914 receiving yards and 9 receiving TD. He also helped in the Special Teams stats, with 3416 returning yards and 4 returned TD.

Our star is gone, we will always remember Boogie, our MVP!

What an awfull season for the Havana Macaws.

Both veteran QBs had a QB rating bellow 59.00. Is Greg Roy's time up in Havana?
The QBs were sacked 47 times combined, incredible numbers when you look at the prime OL Havana has. Albert Sneed and Frank Armani had 12 Sacks allowed each, unvelievable.
The team scored only 5 TD in the hole season, being the worst scorer of the league with only 79 points.
Boogie Barker retirement had an inmediate impact, as the new RB1 (Logan) only rushed for +500 yards and 1 TD.
The receiving side was not that bad in yards but it had almost no impact in the scoring factor, no WR had more than 450 yards, and only 3 TDs were scored by receivers.

MLB Marcell Gallant had an excelent season with 134 Tackles (Top 2 in league), 18 Knockdowns, 1 Sack and 2 Interceptions. And 4th year LDE Gabriel Market had 43 Tackles, 7 Sacks and 5 Hurries.
Even though the defense had this top performances, the team could not stop anyone, we received the 2nd most points in the league with 336 against.

We had a new team of coaches and some players traded to add some energy to this team and try to get into playoffs for the first time during this GM ar command, but none of it was enought. Macaws had their worst season record ever with only 1 win in week 1. The devacle was total, but we are confident we can turn this boat arround and get Macaws to the place the team deserves.
We'll try to be more agressive this offseason and get the most benefict from the Draft position we gonna have in order to forget 2075 season as fast as we can.

From the ashes we rose.

After a regular season where the team showed category at one game and absolute nothing on the following one (like a 0-11 loss), Rookie QB Z. Álvarez managed to lead the team to playoffs for the 6th time (5th under this management) in a tough win against a great playoff team like the Buenos Aires Gauchos.
In the streets of Havana nobody knows how long the playoffs run is gonna last, but they are celebrating because their rookie QB took them to the Pretenders vs. Contenders week. Maybe the TD/INT rate was not the best, but boy, this man knows how to gain yards. He ended up 4th in total yards.

Honorable mention to veteran RB J. Chamberlin, who scored 5 TD and gained 854 yard only by kick returns, an absolute beast in this area. Another player that stood tall in his first season in Cuban territory was CB F. King, who made 95 tackles, got 4 TD and took 2 of those INT home in order to get 6 points.

Macaws are an aging team, with veterans all over their lines, but maybe young blood in his QB or his star WR can help them to win a game in this playoff run, only time will tell.

Unfortunately 2086 season ended with the Macaws being eliminated in the Playoffs against Vancouver Trident, but 2087 seems to bring lots of new faces to the Cuban city. Not only by Free Agency but also by draft.

Macaws Top 3 picks of this year Draft got better in trining camp, making the three of them possible starters in this team along the season.
From the 10 picks Macaws had this season, 5 have secured a spot in the roster and 2 have to earn it in pre-season games. Unfortunately there are 3 players that were not up the expectations and are going to be let go.

The OL got better and the receiver group got stronger, QB Zapata Alvarez got the weapons, we´ll see if he can take this team to playoffs back to back for the second time in franchise history.

On papers, it seems as one of the best drafts i had as Macaws GM, only time will tell if they will impact into results.

Boy this post didn't age well. Everything that could go wrong went wrong. DEF is the only part of the team that kept as with only 11 loses. Unfortunately OFF did not show as expected. Sophomore QB Alvarez could not repeat the numbers of his rookie campaign and only showed up in a couple of games.
Macaws want to get back to previous years form, with a new offseason ahead, only time will tell what will happen with the cuban team.

Week 10 @ Golden Eagles was an easy pick for the Macaws. Even though the team played as a recently oiled machine, the team suffered two big losses due to injuries.
The Havana OL was solid, with Gonzalo Montiel (C) and Roberto Ayala (LG) as key players keeping our QB safe and our RB rushing all over the place.
Gonzalo Montiel is being evaluated and in the following hours the team will decidide if they put him on IR or not.
Roberto Ayala cannot be put in IR, but we asume his season could as well be over.
Lets hope this two injuries do not affect the good streak the Havana team was on this season.

Since last post was made, Macaws rookie C Derek Brogan got the starting spot, and in his first game as a starter he got a serious ankle injury.
Previously to the start of Week 12, Macaws had to look for C in free agents, after looking for a while, Louis Brinson got signed. He had a great game in Week 12, 13 and in Week 14 he got a serious ankle injury leaving him OUT for the rest of the season.
So before Week 15 Macaws scout had to get a new C for the team, and thats when John Kitchen was signed. I guess by this point you should guess what happened to John Kitchen in his debut with the cuban team. Yes, he got injured and will miss at least 3 to 4 weeks.
In the meantime RT Scuba Stevenson got his foot absolutely destroyed and was sent to IR spot.

Fortunately, Macaws will get back some of his OL players in the following games, let´s hope they can perform in Playoffs and stay healthy.

A new regular season gone with a last minute qualy to Playoffs for the Cuban franchise.
With a 5 consecutive win run, the Macaws earned a Wild Card spot in this year postseason.
A couple of weeks back it was only an utopical possibility, but fighting through injuries, the team got back on its feet and accomplished it.
With young star RB Nacho Fernandez injury, we had to try the other RBs on the team just hoping for the best, even the RB2 got injured at some time. And boy did they play some football, these three RB ended up being a comitee with the following stats:
- Nacho Fernandez - 167 att / 707 yds / 4 TD
- James McLaughlin - 158 att / 729 yds / 3 TD
- Victor Simmons - 147 att / 707 yds / 4 TD

With a now healthy team, Macaws are getting ready to visit the up north city of Philadelphia.
Only time will tell if this 5W run can turn into 6 or more.
