another good week for road teams as the visitors take 9 games. on the year, home teams have a 88 - 72 advantage which is good for 55%...not sure what data says but i suspect that is below par for RO leagues.........the Spires third quarter field goal to put them up 9 zip is immediately answered with a 77 yd td reception from Strongbows WR Howard Tate and followed with a late game field goal from K Nicolas Richardson to seal the victory and keep the Strongbows undefeated in a game that was too close for comfort for DublinHC Ray Kane who stated after the game "yes a win but we shouldnt be in close games with the Spires." shots fired. Spires are now 1-9, good for bottom of toughest division. a few quick fixes would put Spires in next seasons most improved team convo.......Vancouver WR Robert Simonsens second quarter 95 yd td reception is all that the visiting Trident needed in a disappointing shutout for the Tornadoes.........Power CB Harry Valenti picks off Chopper QB Edward Crawford(4 int) three times in a successful trip to the southern hemisphere.....Houstons play off hopes are non existent after a loss in Panama City. this is their fourth straight and drops them to 2-8. RB Boogie Barker rushes for 100 and the Jags improve to 5-5 with an outside lane in the playoff race.....Lions RB Sherrif Thompson impresses while the defense keep the 86ers scoreless in their own yard and improve to 7-3...... Owls open game with an 81 yd td march and dont look back as they cruise to an easy victory in Jakarta. QB Aaron Clark is on point in this one (20/29 for 273 yds 3td 0int).... Pirates win their fourth straight and improve to over 500 for the first time with an upset in a sold out Tel Aviv. after the game, upsetting commotion was heard from the Kings locker room and every member of the team including HC Henry Rivera was fined for avoiding the press........the Kraken take the first Battle for St. Lawrence in front of a hyped up sold out home crowd. the place was absolutely rocking! especially during the Quebecs 20 point second quarter and this td saving ball punch from K Robert Hasson https://uro.myfootballnow.com/watch/185#31361 great play! Distillers have an opportunity to return the favor in three weeks.......Buenos Aires continues to flex in the first Parana Cup hosted bu Rosario. they win their fifth straight as RB Quentin Osborne runs for 125 yds and they dominate the second half.....neither team cracks 200 yards from scrimmage as Manilla lose in Brazzaville in a yawner that featured 26 punts. despite losing 8 straight, the Prizefighters still have a chance to win the Oceania division.....Mountaineers playoff hopes are all but entirely distinguished after being held to 5 yards rushing and being shut out at home to the Deities. it is not often that a team misses four field goals and an extra point and still manage a win.......Zippers blow out the Bushmasters and get back to 500 in time for their play off push. Toyoma RB Louis Cole records the leagues first punt return for a touchdown.....Tide protect the house from the Golden Eagles and win a huge game to take control of the M/CA division.....Revolution enter the playoff race after 4 consecutive victories.....Anchors QB Connor Manning completes three passes to the wrong jerseys in the second half as the Shark evens things up in the second Battle for Burnt Pine.....in the game of the week RB Russell Makis 115 rushing yards are the only bright spot for the Bayhawks as they mange just 29 passing yards in a loss to the delight of a hostile Oxford crowd. Oxford has earned the notoriety of having the rowdiest fans.
