2074 will not be the year a team goes undefeated in ULRO. the Golden Eagles shut out the Owls in Mexico City to put an end to Athens 10 game win streak. the Golden Eagles have allowed just three points in their last three games. rushing yards leader WR Benjamin Penticost goes off for 171 yards and a TD but injures his foot and may be sidelined for up to 5 weeks to jeopardize his chance at breaking his own rushing record set last year. after 11 weeks, the top three rushers are wide receivers playing at RB1

the Zippers earn a huge road win versus the Pirates to clinch the Asia division. WR Dead Sea Floater records a receiving and a rushing touchdown to help Toyama to a league leading 234 points.....no other team has more than 200

the Prizefighters sack QB Terrance Rigby in the end zone twice in the fourth quarter to extinguish any of the Heroes rally flames. RB Samuel Davis rushed for 134 yards while QB Randy Jackson passed just 11 times (51 to 11 rush/pass split)

the Lions defeat the Deities to get above 500 for the first time this season. the loss is the seventh in a row for Cairo after a promising 4 - 0 start. this is a very surprising free fall for the Deities and at this point it doesnt seem that their coaching staff will be returning next season

some disclosure - in the third quarter of the Lions/Deities game WR Business Brown blocked a punt for a TD for the Lions. when i saw this i thought "oh no, did i just utilize the punt block exploit? i checked out what had happened. i did not have WR Business Brown assigned to a ST rushing slot, the program automatically placed him there since only the top eight slots of Lions ST Rusher were filled and two of them were inactive. i will be adding more players to my ST Rusher list to avoid this in the future. here is the play https://uro.myfootballnow.com/watch/1707#282427
some horrible blocking

the Revolution score on their first five drives to earn a big time win in Chicago. it is their third straight win and they are now just one game behind in the USA division with just one home game remaining. RB David Steinberg is 90 rushing yards away from a record fifth consecutive 1000 yard season. the Butchers drop 2 in a row but still have the inside track to the USA crown. they head west next week for a highly anticipated match with the Bayhawks

the Tide have won five in a row after easily defeating the Macaws. they are at above 500 for the first time since 2071 and are in the running for most improved team. nice work, fasteddie

the Gauchos lose a grip on the South American division lead for the first time in franchise history with their loss to the Choppers. this is also the first time the Gauchos have been sub 500 in franchise history. the Choppers RDE Aaron Gonzalez & LDE Bogdan Khuree each had three sacks. second year stand out RB W.P. Chrysler leads the league in yards per carry (>100 attempts). the wind gusts during this game reached 50 mph. were they the winds of change?

a couple of notes:

the previous record for sacks by a player was 10 shared by LDE Frederick Stubblefield (2073) & LDE Christian Barmore (2072). after 11 games with new engine, 16 players have >10 sacks with rookie phenom LDE Ike Tredorus (second round pick 16) leading the way with 19

the current top 16 rushers by yards all average >4 yards per carry. last season, just 4 of the top 16 averaged > 4 yards per carry

new engine = more sacks and more rushing yards

Star with the roster filled with cast off from other team .... continues their unpredictable season with W this week........V.Bassett who only had total of 160 yards in his lifetime leads the Stars with 1000 yard rushing with lots of football left in season.

There has been some rumors that the franchise with moved from Tel Aviv to India is still looking for the permanent home with in India as Mumbai is not locked in as the final destination.... when reporter ask this question to current owner and GM Big H.... he simply replied we moved the franchise to India to tap into largest market and we are here to stay beyond that our focus right now is on putting the best effort next week to win the game and have a better improved season......He also thanked the fans, coaches and players for their support during rebuild

my prediction that the Rodeo would win more than the Stars was wrong

Well it will show that never bet against the Stars Owner and GM.... even I dont bet against him :). He is unpredictable himself same as his team...

just kidding.. all good... I think we just got lucky... just hoping my 3-5 yr plan works out...

*the Gauchos lose a grip on the South American division lead for the first time in franchise history with their loss to the Choppers*

This is not entirely true, in the second week of season 73, I had a fleeting leadership of the division after having won my two games and Gauchos had surprisingly been defeated.

=)
