the Bayhawks won the coin toss and elected to receive. a nice drive was shaping up for them until RB Russell Maki fumbled after crossing the Lions 30 yard line. at the end of the game, this turnover proved to be the turning point.

on the very next play SLB Robert Dodd stripped RB Sherrif Thompson, but Thompson was able to catch the ball before it landed. the Lions then ran 11 more plays resulting in a 72 yard TD drive for the first score of the game.

each team traded punts for the next 3 possessions until the first half two minute warning when QB Klondike Klopp failed to read the zone and threw an interception to RDE Yarnie Clemmons. it was Yarnies first career interception and gave the Lions the ball with a short field. on the next play QB C.J. Calloway connected with WR Hugo Dorsett for a 36 yard TD, their second TD hookup of the first half. the Lions entered halftime with a 14 - 0 lead.

almost forgot to give a shot out to C Luis Ferreira. Lagos Lions were thin on the o line, especially at center since the starter had a severely damaged arm. Ferreira was given a million dollars to play one game. he was paid $18,181 per snap and got a ring out of it....good day for him
