there are still 5 divisions waiting to be claimed with just two games remaining......good stuff. lots of big games next week
the
Bayhawks finish a 3-0 road trip with a convincing victory in Oxford. they totaled an impressive 380 yards with half of them coming from
RB Russell Maki. the win marks their seventh straight and keeps them a top of the USA division with the Butchers. if both teams win out the Bayhawks claim the tie breaker because of Chicagos week 4s common opponent loss in Vancouver. the loss knocks Oxford out of the top spot in Europe but they currently hold the second wild card spot over the Stampede due to their week 2 victory over them
QB William Cutting snaps his touchdownless streak as the
Butchers lasso the Rodeo
the
Lions defeat the 86ers to claim the Africa division and are one division win away from a sweep. mixed reviews thus far on
QB C.J. Calloways first season under center but the overall consensus is positive......he has yet to be sacked, has more TDs than INTs and has a completion % of 70.1.
HC Joshua Welch has expressed confidence in him several times when asked if he believes Calloway can handle the pressure of the postseason
what the **** happened in Toyama?
LDE Big John Houser has a ULRO record 4 sacks and scores 8 points by himself as the
Golden Eagles defeat Toyama.
QB Reggie Gunn was sacked a record 10 times, smashing the old ULRO record of 7. despite the strange loss, Toyama is able to clinch their division due to the Heroes loss in Dublin. it is rumored that the Zippers O line are known regulars at a strip club where a recent Covid outbreak has occurred. if league officials find out that the Zippers were suiting players that they knew had Covid there could be massive fines. regardless, Toyama plans on starting
QB Thomas Westerman next week when they host the Prizefigthers. if the Zippers win out they will earn a first round bye. Mexico City looks to clinch to clinch the M/CA division in Calgary
K Boomer Legaspi caps five consecutive drives with a field goal in the first half alone as the
Prizefighters hand Yukon a home defeat. the Dire Wolves can only muster a field goal in a crucial game and lose grip of the Canada division. Manila heads to Toyama next week for a huge game....if they win they will lock in a first round bye
the
Trident sweep the Mountain Cup from the Power and take control of Canada thanks to the Dire Wolves loss. their last two games are at home including next weeks showdown versus the surging Kraken
the Manta Rays manage to tie the game late in the fourth with a TD and a two point conversion but are unable to keep the
Kraken out of the endzone in OT.
WR James Blodgett takes a quick slant 84 yards with just 58 ticks remaining to save Quebecs season in the
game of the week. the win makes it three in a row and gives them a chance to make things really interesting in Canada next week. if they lose they are toast
some more inexplicable late season heroics from
QB Brandon Watts keeps the
Bushmasters chances of the franchises first playoff appearance alive with a win in Philadelphia. how does he do it? he puts this game away early with two 75 yard TD passes in the first quarter to snap his streak of six straight games without 100 passing yards. we will see if he can do it again when the Bushmasters head to Buenos Aires for a do or die matchup next week
the
Strongbows take command of the Europe division with a victory over the Heroes. they host the Owls next week before a week 16 trip to San Francisco. the Heroes chances take a hit but they remain in the hunt
the
Owls still have a prayer after defeating the Stars. Mumbai is now eliminated and are expected to be involved in another trading frenzy during the offseason
the
Stampede shut out the Deities to improve to 8-5-1 in both the
beatdown of the week and
the upset of the week. they are currently the first team on the outside of the playoffs. the Deities still have the inside track for the first wild card spot but being shut out at home in a game of such importance is certainly not a good look for them as they gear up for the postseason. they got 15 first downs in this game yet failed to score or reach the red zone....that is tough to do
the
Pirates eliminate the Spires despite
QB Robert Sizemores 0 TD 3 INT performance and stay alive but they need an unlikely series of events to make it happen
the
Tornadoes gain 415 yards of offense including a 99 yard TD from
WR Brain Mitchell to defeat the Tide. they have a great shot at the postseason with their remaining games at home including a highly anticipated matchup with the Gauchos in week 16
the
Choppers defeat the Macaws and prove yet again that they are anti tankers
MLB Carlton Price returns a third quarter interception 41 yards to the bank and the
Gauchos defeat the Guazues to complete the sweep of the Rosario Cup
RB Billy Bojangles scampers for 2 TDs and the
Anchors defeat the Sharks. the Sharks drop to 2-11-1 and are predicted to have the second pick in the upcoming draft
at this point of the season i believe it is safe to give the Chicago Butchers the most improved team award for 2073. with two games remaining they have five more wins than they did last season and are currently tied for the league lead. congrats to
JakeJarmel and good luck in the playoffs
