Despite having a very good offense on paper the Choppers are really struggling to score points. The defense can only do so much. When you give up just 3 points and loose something isn't working. They had a chance to tie the Guazues with 2 seconds left but the rookie kicker missed the 53 yarder.
The top 2 offensive teams played against each other this week and the Butchers got the win over the Revolution. The Revolution just made too many mistakes turning the ball over 4 times. The Butchers are 1st in the power rankings for a reason and look very tough to beat. They now have more wins through 9 games than they did last season when they finished 7-9.
The 86ers beat the Stampede for the first time since week 4 2069. The Stampede had very questionable play calling running the ball 33 times to 18 passes when the Stampede was trailing the whole game. Kicker Arturo Bryant missed what would have been a 48 yard FG as time expired.
The Tornadoes shut out the Bushmasters who fall to last in the power rankings despite the fact that they are winning the division.
The Pirates lost to the Heroes despite have more total yards, a higher time of possession, and winning the turnover margin.
The Spires shutout the division leading Street Urchins to move within 1 game of the lead. This is the first time the Street Urchins have ever shut out.
The Rodeo got their first win of the season over the Strongbows. The Strogbows kicker missed a 27 yarder late in the 4th after being injured earlier in the game. The Rodeo have finished 1-15 each of the last 2 seasons.
In a very important game for both teams the Prizefighters are dominant in a shutout divisional win over the Anchors.
The Zippers beat the Owls who have now lost 6 games this season. The Owls haven't lost 6 games since 2069. The Zippers scored on 4 of their 5 possessions in the first half. Their longest drive in the 2nd half was 3 plays for 3 yards.
The Stars win off of 2 4th quarter TDs to beat the Tide by 7.
The Macaws were able to move the ball well and kicked 5 FGs but they could never get it into the end zone. The Trident were able to capitalize with a TD in the last minutes to win by 3.
The Dire Wolves lost to the Bayhawks because of a missed FG in the 3rd quarter. They would have had an opportunity to tie it but because they were down by 6 instead of 3 they were forced to go for it on 4th down and couldn't get it.
The Kraken shut out the Power. This is the 2nd time the Power have ever been shut out. The Power have lost 5 games so far this season. They lost 3 games in 2072.
The Sharks kick 4 FGs but were unable to score a TD. The Manta Rays were able to score a TD on their first possession and add 2 FGs in the first half for a 1 point win.
The Deities were unable to find any offense against Lagos and lost 13-0. They are now tied for the lead in the Africa division.
The Gauchos and Golden Eagles swapped FGs 3 times and tied. The Golden Eagles had a very good opportunity to win late in the 4th with great field position after an INT. But they gave it right back to the Gauchos with an INT to keep it a tie game.
