another quiet trade deadline and we are halfway through 2073

seems that K Cedric Longwell was not content with a 52 yard game winner so he took a false start penalty himself to make it a 57 yard game winner as the Lions get back to to the win column with an OT victory in Jakarta. I cant recall a K ever getting a false start penalty. what a guy. Lagos is held to just 25 yards passing and seem to have doubled down on their run game ever since Silcox broke hearts and retired. the Manta Rays playoff hopes dim as they drop to 2-5-1

the Power dominate the second half for a huge win in Buenos Aires to earn their fourth in a row. CB Harry Valenti and CB Rand McNally each record an interception and are first in all time in tandem interceptions with 37

RB Russell Maki scores on a 43 yard play action pass with just 1:42 remaining to save the day for the Bayhawks in the game of the week. QB Maxwell Akers throws an uncharacteristic 3 interceptions, including one directly after Makis game winning TD. the two teams will meet again in week 13

the Spires defeat the Owls in Athens to earn the upset of the week. the Spires are at 500 after 8 games for the second time in franchise history. they have now won two in a row after plugging RB Solomon Dodge in at WR1 but they have a big challenge next week when they host the 6-2 Street Urchins

the Pirates get back to 500 after dropping 3 in a row with an OT victory versus the 86ers who drop to 1-7. talented but young QB Steve Williams has yet to arrive. the remaining 8 games give him a chance to improve in another sub 500 season for Johannesburg. when this happens they could become contenders due to their terrific crop of young defenders

the Tornadoes defeat the Choppers in Sao Paulo to move to 3-5. the Choppers drop to 1-7 but have another bumper crop of draft picks in store for 2074. it will be fun to track their progress as they hope to contend for the South America division in the near future

the Heroes snuff the Stars in the beatdown of the week. nothing goes right for the Stars in this one while RB Mark Carter rushes for 132 YDs and a TD

the Zippers make easy work out of a tough Dublin team to take control of the number one seed in the Old World

RB Billy Bojangles rushes for 2 TDs in the second quarter as the Anchors fight back to 500 in a win over the Kraken

the Dire Wolves take control of the Canada division after 8 games for the first time in franchise history with a win over divisional rival Vancouver but head on the road next week to face a tough Bayhawks squad

the Prizefighters win their match with the Sharks despite gaining just 117 yards of offense to retain control of the Oceania division

QB Andrew Prosser throws for 2 TDs in the first half and the Stampede win a big divisional match over the Deities in the competitive Africa division. after sporting three 12 win teams last season, the Africa division is the first to have three teams with 5 wins in 2073

RB Richard Braswell has a monster day with 198 yards and 2 TDs on 27 touches to surge the Tide past the Guazues. this was also his second game in a row without a fumble. Rosario QB Wendall Yardley has a rough start in this one.....his first two passes are caught by standout CB Truman Lockhart who now has 24 in his career (2nd all time) and he ends with 3 INTs on the day

the Bushmasters move to a surprising 5-3 after defeating the defending champion Golden Eagles. something is certainly wrong in Mexico City and many fans are demanding to know why their heroic coach is no longer around. the whole coaching change episode was shrouded in mystery and the Golden Eagles are certainly not the threat they were just a season ago

QB William Cutting seems to be on his way for a third MVP and WR Paco Keys notches another TD as the Butchers improve to a league best 7-1 with a road win in Havana. the Macaws manage to rack up 366 yards in the loss which drops them to 1-7. CB Bone Carver tallies 2 INTs for the Butchers who host the Revolution next week

the Street Urchins run 46 times while having just 10 pass attempts in a win in Houston

will have power rankings and MVP candidates up after week 10

I guess my HC saw a weakness in the Rodeo run D. Add in clock management with a big lead and we ended up running (a lot)

nothing wrong with that. all research i have done concludes that running the ball is the way to victory in MFN RO

We are getting better into yards generation, but we cannot close the games, Macaws need to get better in red zone in order to get some W.

We gonna keep on trying.
Fly Macaws Fly!

the Macaws are currently third in yards per game but Boogies career is in its twilight. they have talented WRs but not the speed needed for break away plays. if i was Beardmamba i would prioritize acquiring speed on offense and talent in the defensive box in order to slow down opponents run game........the only season they had a top 16 run defense was in in 2070 when they were fourth. they were 12-4 that year and won a playoff game

im not sure if any team in MFN RO is good in the red zone
