WR Benjamin Penticost rushes for 157 yards in a losing effort as the Pirates end the Golden Eagles winning streak at 16. despite the substantial difference in rushing yards, Shanghai ended the game with a time of possession advantage and the upset of the week. HC Lester Daviss body was not capable of soaking all of the Gatorade that was dumped on him. the Pirates are now 7-2 after starting last season 0-10. they were my vote for most improved team this year......fitting that they improve their case by defeating last seasons most improved team. their futures line changed dramatically with the victory

K Cleo Johnson kicks two FGs within the last 3 minutes including a walk off 41 yarder to tally a W for the Bayhawks in Calgary. the loss is a surprising 0-3 start for the Power who lost only three games all last season. several incidences of unruly behavior were reported in Calgary after the loss

the Lions move to 3-0 with a rushing attack fueled victory in Sao Paulo. after 3 weeks Lagos have two of the top six rushers in the league. the Choppers fall to 0-3 with strong sights on the near future

the Trident win their first while dishing the Guazues their first loss

RB Antonio Cassidy rushes for 2 TDs in the first quarter and the Butchers are 3-0 after hosting the Dire Wolve. they are now a hot pick from many insiders to claim the Old World crown. with a two time MVP QB William Cutting under center and experienced owner JakeJarmel on the mouse, the potential is obvious. the Butchers have now outscored their opponents 64 - 8....very impressive, but not as impressive after factoring in that all three of their games have been at home and one of them was vs Rodeo. the Butchers visit to Vancouver is expected to be a classic. this loss for the Dire Wolves could be a good one if there is such a thing. a loss on the road vs a hot team isnt tragic news in week 3

RB Benjamin Goldmann returns a first quarter punt for a TD (leagues first this season) and Philadlphia QB Maxwell Akers throws 2 INTs in the fourth quarter to cement the deal for the hosting Kraken. Quebec is now 3-0 after an active offseason. starting 3-0 in the Canada division is an 80% bet for a playoff appearance in my book

reigning MVP K Arturo Bryant stays perfect on the year by booting in three more to push the Stampede past the Sharks in a shutout

the 86ers save themselves from a shutout with a fourth quarter safety in a loss to the Manta Rays. the 86ers are off to an 0-3 start for the fourth time in five seasons

the Deities defeat the Tornadoes despite their disappointing 47 passing yards. when asked about his 13 pass attempts, QB John Marquez said "im saving it for when it matters"....take that Tornadoes. Guayaquil drops to 0-3 in consecutive seasons

Bushmasters QB Brandon Watts is injured after throwing an interception in the fourth quarter but returns after backup QB Andre Briscoe throws 5 consecutive incompletions. playing with an injured knee, Watts was able to throw 3 incompletions, get sacked twice and throw another interception all within a ten snap span and the Heroes jump to a 3-0 start for the first time in franchise history. nice work, AVCaptain

K Leif 'Left Peg' Legg boots in 4 FGs in the first half as the Street Urchins stay out of the loss column with a win at home vs the Stars

Spires QB Kelly Bryant finds WR George Orozco who takes it 44 yards to the bank leaving just a tick left to win a chaotic contest in Prague. the Spires & the Rodeo combined for 7 total interceptions. MLB Michael Wilson, CB Justin Chavez of the Rodeo & CB Jesse Dinges of the Spires had two interceptions each. Rodeo QB Brandon House threw three INTs in the third quarter alone

the Strongbows return to glory appears to be in full stride after dishing out the beatdown of the week to the Anchors. minus the Anchors well executed TD drive in the second quarter this game was completely dominated by Dublin. RDE Jon Morton records two sacks

the Prizefighters defend home turf from the Owls with the help of Athens K Sam Goods 2 missed field goals & RB Gregory Himess three fumbles. he now has 7 on the year........weve only played three games. red alert red alert HC Patrick Gordon your running back cannot hold onto the ball

the Zippers enjoy their vacation in Tijuana with a win in a game that was not as close as the score indicates. CB Eric Bradley adds to his career high INT total and QB Shane Sharp passes for a season high 348 yards. Toyama is 3-0 after starting the season with three away games. their home opener is next week vs the Spires. word on the street in Tidetown is that HC Robert Goin is pretty much already on his way out

QB Nathan Frank puts on a display of precise efficiency as the Gauchos return to the win column after their first ever trip to Havana
