cheers to the second half. three games featured a deciding TD in the final two minutes in week 9

Bayhawks QB Klondike Klopp (3 TDs on the day) connects with WR Harold Graves for the second time with 1:09 remaining to earn the late win in Tijuana. their other connection was for 91 YDs. its time for the Tide to begin thinking about next season after a disappointing 2-7 start

86ers WR Kyle Stauffer takes a dump pass 16 yards to the end zone to cap a 75 yard scoring drive leaving just 1:09 on the clock to win the game in Brisbane. this was his sixth reception on the year. Brisbane QB Steven McNutt has a disastrous fourth quarter in which he threw 4 INTs. the win gives the 86ers their fourth win - a tie for the franchise record

Owls leave Manila with a W thanks to two TDs from WR Afterburner Raines. his second was a game winner with 1:04 left on the clock. some questionable defense displayed by Prizefighters standout CB Nolan Hicks on the play. https://uro.myfootballnow.com/watch/1079#179316
both teams remain on top of their divisions and are favored next week

and in the other games

the Golden Eagles make it four straight (last three on the road) with a win in Sao Paulo and move into a tie for the lead in the M/CA division. seems that they have locked up the most improved team award. they are now one game behind a first round bye

the Tornadoes leave Panama City with a win among 2-6 teams. the victory keeps the Guayaquils three games behind in the wild card hunt

the Revolution defeat the Kings in a game that both teams needed to win. RB David Steinberg runs wild with 176 yards on 24 touches including a 58 YD TD scamper in the first quarter. the win prevents the Revolution from going below 500 while the loss puts Tel Aviv HC Trevor Willis in the hot seat. the Kings are just 2 games out of a wild card contention but their remaining schedule is full of quality opponents

the Butchers defeat the Rodeo 29-0 in the beat down of the year. this is as bad as it gets. the Rodeo muster 49 yards of total offense on 54 snaps while punting for a new all time record 17 times. Chicago swapped their cleats out for slippers after QB William Cuttings second TD pass of 60+ YDs to WR Gordon Day in the first quarter. sad times for Rodeo fans. the win maintains a share of the lead in the USA division for the Butchers

the Lions move to number one in the programs power rankings after a dominating victory on home turf versus the Bushmasters. Lagos gains 495 yards from scrimmage and now lead the league with an average of 386. QB Christopher Silcox increses his chances at MVP with a 4 TD, 0 INT game. RB Sherrif Thompson runs for 192 yards and WR Earl Allen reaches the end zone three times. a great display of ability from the Lions to keep a share of the lead in the fierce Africa division......only division with three 6 win teams

in the beatdown of the week, the Stampede annihilate the Heroes, 41-6. Brazzaville scores 5 red zone TDs with RB Melvin Blankenship running for 3 of them, which is good enough for him to earn defensive honors. however, there seems to be a musical chair QB situation going on in Brazzaville. it will be interesting to see how mastermind HC Wm Webster will handle the situation moving forward. despite losing by 35, the Heroes managed to achieve more first downs. the Heroes have a tough schedule the rest of the way and are a game behind in the wild card race

the Deities show off their elite defense again with a convincing victory in Dublin. Cairo has now allowed just 56 points on the year (1st, on pace for <100), 2.3 yards per carry (1st) and 4.7 yards per pass attempt (3rd). they stay tied for the lead in the Africa division while Strongbows stay above 500 with a weak strength of schedule remaining

former first round pick WR Trevor Smith Jr. has 2 TDs on the day as Manta Rays keep the Pirates winless with a home win. Pirates stud rookie RB Haruki Tanaka is unhappy with his role as a back up and has been seen sitting alone on the sidelines. Shanghai HC Lester Davis was asked about his hesitancy to give Tanaka more carries, to which he calmly responded "whos football team is this? have you ever led a group of alpha males into battle? if you think you know everything than why arent you a coach?" his sipping of tea afterwards has become a web breaking meme but things are clearly not on the right track in Shanghai and Davis's future with the team seems to be in question after just 9 games

in the upset of the week, the Kraken hold on to victory in "Good Airs" with a 20-17 victory over the Gauchos. RB Quentin Osborne performs an over the top interruptive dance piece after scoring a game winning 4th quarter TD in the stadium his career started in. all of the fruit in the stadium was tossed in his direction as he ran to the sidelines wearing his trademark grin. Gauchos QB Nathan Frank throws 2 INTs in the second half while former MVP candidate QB Robert Williams - the same man who is one season removed from a 4 TD, 0 INT, 310 YD masterpiece en route to an Ultimate Showdown victory - wasnt even asked to dress up to carry a clipboard. at just 25 years of age it seems clear that Frank is their man moving forward but time will tell if the switch was made too early. several Gaucho faithful have made their opinions clear

K Ray Finkle scores the first 9 points but that is all the Guazues can muster as the Trident score 19 unanswered points highlighted by QB Jaxon Bowers beautiful read in the third quarter. he puts the ball in WR Felix Babins basket in stride for a crowd pleasing 95 yard TD to take the lead. the Microsoft Dome was absolutely rocking. the victory keeps the Tridents season alive with a moderate strength of schedule remaining. they are now 2-2 since Bowers replaced QB Harold Catron, but this win has fans feeling optimistic

CB Rand McNally swipes two from the sky for the Power to help give the Spires their eighth loss. Calgary keeps pace with leagues best at 8-1. Pragues coaching carousel is confounding - we will find out if HC Michael Gilbert is a whiz kid or not

the Street Urchins keep their season alive with a win versus the Dire Wolves. Yukon has a serious test with 5 of the last 7 games being on the road. Street Urchins improve to 3-6 but have bad odds of making the post season leaving many fans to revisit the firing of HC Mark Bales after leading Oxford to a 11-4-1 in 2069

the Zippers put up an amazing 25 points in the fourth quarter with help from Auckland QB Connor Mannings generosity (2 picks in the 4th) to win a battle of division leaders. Toyama RB Harry McDuff runs for 100 YDs and a TD while CB Eric Bradley earns defensive honors with two INTs. Manila retains the lead of the Oceania division while the Zippers advance to 7-2 but are underdogs next week in Ulannbaatar. Manning now has 9 interceptions and 7 fumbles so this season
