the fourth season kicks off. good luck to all

some great run blocking and a couple broken tackles result in a game winning 63 yard 3rd quarter TD scamper for Choppers RB Walter Vanderpool. a tough loss for the Guazues who are looking to make their first post season. the Choppers are only dressing 46 players at the moment and have $121,494 in cap space.....that is a tight rope. cheers to Salty_Watermelon and the biggest rebuild Ultimate Legends may ever see

the Stampede lead off their title defense campaign with a convincing victory over Johannesburg. Brazzaville QB Dennis Cobb makes up for throwing picks on consecutive drives by throwing for TDs on the next consecutive drives. not much positive to report from the 86ers sidelines and it seems clear for all at this point that HC Douglas Doty has 15 games to keep figure out how to keep his office

the Revolution sell out Comcast Park and do not disappoint with a home win over the Golden Eagles. Mexico Citys offense had a tough time in the second half while only being able to muster three punts and two fumbles (both from WR/RB Mark Langer). some major questions for the Revolution concerning their kicker - K John Herrera misses three in the first half alone after replacing K Randy Daniel

the Butchers travel west to defeat the Bayhawks despite turning the ball over on their first two drives. the stats in this game are about as close to 50/50 as it can get. Chicago CB Bone Carvers 20 yard punt return & reigning MVP QB William Cuttings 32 yard strike to WR Ralph Price set up the games only TD, a one yard catch from WR John Coughlin. the Bayhawks hopes to return to the post season after missing out for the first time last season take an early blow with a home loss to a division rival

WR Ja'Marr Chase breaks free for a big 49 yard gain early in the first quarter to set up the games only TD as the Deities shut out the Pirates in HC Lester Daviss first game. the Pirates have what seems to be the most difficult schedule for the first half of the season

the Lions begin the Welch era with a win in Tel Aviv. this marks two consecutive games the Kings have lost at home to the former Tel Aviv legend QB Christopher Silcox and the Lions. some salt in the wound - this game featured a TD pass from Silcox to WR Michael Autrey, another former King. despite the loss, the Kings claim the number one spot in the program power rankings

the Heroes hold the Sharks to just 119 yards of offense in a shut out victory. the Sharks next three games are versus division opponents

K Nicolas Richardsons 55 yard field goal early in the fourth proves to be the game winner in a showdown of teams that will see each other again in week 5 as the Strongbows win at home versus the Owls. Athens QB Aaron Clark throws for two INTs in the fourth quarter

the Manta Rays sting the Anchors with a late field goal to take a division win. Auckland QB Conner Manning inexplicably throws a INT in his own territory with less than a minute to go in a tie game. Jakarta then gets two quick first downs to set up the 30 yard game winner from K George Mims as time expires. this was the first of Aucklands four game road trip to open the season. Jakarta also has its next three games on the road

the Prizefighters begin their division title defense with a win at home over the Tornadoes. a short pass turned into a 75 yard TD from rookie standout WR Peter Turner on the first play of the second half proves to be the game winner in this one as Manila has two of their rookies score TDs on passes from QB Randy Jackson

the leagues top two rated RBs mange to combine for just 139 yards from scrimmage as the Kraken defeat the Spires. QB Shane Sharp throws for two TDS early to earn the victory

the Zippers needed half as many yards from scrimmage than the Street Urchins to come out on top in a gutsy road win. Oxfords rookie K Leif Legg kicks an extra point wide right and comes up short on two field goals in the fourth quarter including what would have been a game winner as time expired. welcome to the league, 'Left Peg'

the Dire Wolves handle business at home versus the Rodeo in a field goal fest. Houston QB Billy Lindsey throws 3 INTs in the first half and 4 total with two of them going to Yukon CB Douglas Lucero. after the game Houston HC Gary Stover announced that Lindsey would be benched and the Rodeo will be moving forward with QB Brandon House

the Power defeat the Trident in the Mountain Cup asK Terry Mendoza connects on four field goals in the first half. the second half was fruitless for both teams as they combine for 9 punts and a fumble. Vancouver QB Harold Catron throws an interception on each of the Tridents first three drives

Gauchos start the year strong with a 6 minute 28 second TD scoring drive. Tide RB Richard Braswell fumbles twice in his own territory within their first three drives and this one was over early as Tijuana is not able to overcome a 20 point halftime deficit. Gauchos HC Rodney Bradshaw made it clear to the press that this was indeed a statement game so i guess we are all on notice now

and finally, in the beat down of the week, Bushmasters QB Brandon Watts and WR Jason Eades work their magic once again connecting for 176 yards and a TD while holding onto the Great Isthmus Cup. San Jose is able to score on their first 5 drives and limit the Jags to just 179 yards from scrimmage. a bright spot for Panama City was RB Boogie Barkers impressive tally of 289 total yards including a 99 yard kick return for a touchdown

there were just 4 rushing touchdowns in week 1. just one player (RB Walter Vanderpool) managed to reach 100 yards rushing. however, teams with the most rushing attempts were 16-0 in week 1

I said during the draft I was trying to patch up the passing game and early returns are promising from my rookies.

Yes those moves are the wedge between fans and the GM, one bad move wipes out ten good in the eyes of the loyal
