only 6 of the 16 home teams earned a victory this week. not a record but noteworthy.......the Kings remain lossless after steamrolling the Guazues in front of a lame home crowd. only 71% of the Don Jorge Dome was filled despite hosting the only undefeated team in the league. QB Cristopher Silcox improves his 2070 MVP resume with an impressive performance (22/28, 305 YDS, 3 TD, 0 INT) as Tel Aviv pulls away in the second half after entering halftime tied up.............the Bayhawks win a sloppy one (5 turnovers & 6 missed kicks total) on the road in Buenos Aires with the help of Gauchos K James Derrickson who missed all 4 of his field goal attempts and an extra point. real tough day for him. lets all hope he has a sandwich to eat while in the unemployment line. the win keeps San Fransisco on top of the USA division while the loss marks the Gauchos 2nd in a row to keep things interesting in South America.........the Owls slap the champs all around their own yard for their third straight win to take command of Europe. Dublin QB Luther Conrad throws 4 INT and along with his bizarre on field antics has begun cast doubts on whether he is the QB the Strongbows need to repeat. several fans could be heard chanting for the return of QB Roger Falcone......the Tide wins a crucial game at home versus the Jaguars to take the lead in the M/CA. Tijuanas remaining schedule is low strength and they are now the favorites to win the division.........the Pirates defeat the Choppers. Sao Paulo will surely use its early first round pick on a less volatile player this time around.........MLB Ralph Bryans 15 tackles are not enough to stop the Stampede as Brazzaville continues to impress. they now have a 3 game lead in Africa thanks in large to QB Dennis Cobbs improvement......in a game which both teams needed a win, the Trident defeat the Revolution in a snoozefest. the loss is a major setback for Philadelphias playoff chances as their remaining strength of schedule is very difficult while the victory places the Trident on top in a tight Candaian division....the Butchers defeat the Rodeo with the help of reigning MVP QB William Cuttings sharp performance. the loss gives the Rodeo a 1-4 record in their division which is not going to help them if they find themselves in a tiebreaker..........the Prizefighters retain the Island Cup with a boring win at home versus the Manta Rays. this win put Prizefighters in contention for final wildcard spot in the Old World.........the Lions get a much needed win against the visiting Sharks with the help of RB Sherrif Thompsons productive day. the win keeps the disappointing Lions post season hopes alive as they do not face any teams with a winning record for the rest of the season, however only one of those games will be in Lagos. the Sharks (also 5-6) have a more difficult remaining schedule which includes a stop in Tel Aviv.......the Kraken save their season and put an end to their freefall by beating the Dire Wolves in Whitehorse. the loss puts a big damper on Yukons post season chances who are not eliminated but cannot lose another game.........the 86ers manage to win two in a row for the first time in franchise history with a win in Cairo.......the Spires defeat the Bushmasters in front probably the lowest attended game in league history........RDE James Nye (newly nicknamed "James Nye the Sack Guy") records three sacks (contract year $$$$$) while RB Artful Dodger (23/118, TD) has himself a game as the Street Urchins earn a victory to prolong their longshot at making the playoffs in their lousy 2070 season.........the Zippers punch a ticket into the postseason with a win over the Anchors. Auckland turns the ball over on their final three drives and Toyamas tandem of William Williams & William Williamson combine for 196 yards. the torch seems to have been passed in Toyama as QB Ben Luna finds himself riding the pine in favor of QB Wendall Yardley despite being the 5th highest rated QB in league history and a 19-6 record as a starter. his agents phone bill is highest in league history. the Anchors hold on to the top spot in Oceania
