* Bayhawks QB Klondike Klopp has been sacked zero times in 24 career starts. i am aware that sacks are hard to come by in this game but that is astonishing
* there are nine teams that are 4-4 in the New World Conference
* my choice for 2069 MVP (robbed) WR Humberto Wenzels production has fallen off a cliff
* the Revolution are averaging almost a full yard per carry (4.7) more than the Prizefighters and Lions (3.8), who are second. to put this in perspective, if we subtract the .9 difference from the 3.8 that the Lions and Prizefighters are averaging, we have 2.9 yards per carry, which is good enough for 27th in the league. therefore, the gap between 1 and 2 is the same as the gap between 2 and 27. that is significant. seems the decision to go with RB David Steinberg over RB Hotcakes Sampson (despite Sampsons productive 2069 campaign) was a wise one thus far
* the most disappointing teams through week 8 are the Golden Eagles and the Street Urchins. both teams replaced their head coach in the offseason despite making the postseason. Mexico City just acquired QB Randall Cunningham IV but have reassigned him to RB even though he had a solid passing game vs the defending New World Champion Bayhawks
* Bushmasters QB Brandon Watts continues to start despite his inefficient play. he has thrown a league worst 16 interceptions and has a completion percentage of 51.8. despite these numbers, he is third in pass attempts. someone get San Jose a QB!
* the Anchors, Tide, Zippers, Kings & Revolution are all in the top ten of both yards allowed and yards gained
* the Spires have an amazing advantage in turnovers (+16) but are failing to capitalize on them with a lackluster 2-5-1 record. the Gauchos are not far behind with +15
* the Spires are in line to become a good team....seems they just need an upgrade at QB. they are among the leaders in many parameters that i consider vital to winning. also, they play in the toughest division imo
