Re: week 6

the Tide continue their high caliber play with a commanding win over the Butchers despite RB Richard Braswells 3 fumbles. Tijuana QB Derrick Koepke throws for an impressive 337 yards and finds himself just 17 yards short of Rosario QB Craig Vines for the league lead after 6 games. the program has the Tide ranked at 19 which is completely inaccurate.............the Golden Eagles collapse continues as they drop a home game to the lowly Spires, who have won just the second game in franchise history. RB Solomon Dodge runs wild in this one with 155 total yards and 2 TDs. Golden Eagles mange just 19 yards on the ground and QB Charles Brunswick throws four interceptions. something is certainly not right in Mexico City. after claiming the M/CA division with ten wins just last season and earning my prediction to repeat as M/CA champs, they find themselves at 1-5 to start 2070 and it seems to be getting worse. attendance numbers mirror this reality....this weeks game vs Spires was played in front of thousands of empty seats. HC Wm Websters firing in favor of ULROs first female Head CoachElisha Ryant does not seem to have been the wisest decision by jouameng...........meanwhile, Wm Webster has the Stampede atop of the Africa division with more than half as many wins as they had last year after just 6 games. Brazzavilles latest victory comes at the hands of the 86ers. this one was won on the opening kickoff as WR Melvin Blankenship goes 101 yards the other way. the 86ers still have time to upgrade their offense before their core of talented defensive players pass their prime, but they arent making the playoffs this year. look for them to add talent on the offensive line to help keep the offense on the field.........the Gauchos sell out the seats in another win, this one over the struggling Choppers. QB Robert Williams TD strike to WR Dennis Greenspan to cap a lengthy game opening drive set the stage for K James Derricksons who connects on 4 of 4 field goals despite the breezy ocean winds............the Guazues defend home turf against the Revolution. so far, the Guazues have scored more points than they allowed despite being 2-4. a tough loss for the Revolution who seemed to have this game won on paper...................a big win for the Prizefighters as they keep the Lions out of the end zone on their own field and march away with the victory. Manillas defense held Lagos to just 55 passing yards. Lions HC Lester Davis announced that the team will be starting QB Tito Santana for the remainder of the season marking the end of QB Reggie Gunns improbable run as a starting QB in ULRO.........the defending champion Strongbows have an easy win over the Mountaineers with the help of QB Luther Conrads 56 & 83 yard touchdown strikes in the second quarter........Owls K Sam Good goes 4 for 4 and nails two in the fourth quarter to edge out a win over the Street Urchins in Oxford. another team finding itself trending downwards after replacing a head coach, the Street Urchins hope to turn things around next week when they host the Ultimate Showdown Champion in the third Battle For Wales. this is a must win game for them. an infrared thermometer will be on site after the game in order to gauge the temperature of HC Cole Recios *** which will give us an idea on how hot his seat is..........the Kings remain undefeated with a win over the Tornadoes. Guayaquil is a better team than the one that showed up in Tel Aviv. they should probably upgrade at K. perhaps it was the 7,740 mile flight. Tel Aviv is primed and ready for next weeks showdown vs the undefeated Zippers. the Kings have a relatively cupcake remaining schedule outside of their matches with the Zippers, Owls & Strongbows and seem to be a shoe in for postseason participation.........the Deities earn their first W in a surprising win over the Kraken, who have now dropped two in a row............. the Rodeo outlast the Sharks in a strange one. the Sharks offense attempted a new strategy consisting of only trying during the opening and closing drives of the game. this strategy proves to be unproductive and falls just short as they just cant quite cant punch it in at the end of the game. RB Wendall Holloway scores 2 TDs and Houston makes it interesting in the USA division...........seems like another wild playoff scenario is hatching in the New World........Jaguars RB Boogie Barker explodes for 228 yards and 2 TDs while K Joel Richardson connects on 6 of 6 in a rout of the Bushmasters who have been outscored by 110 in just 6 games........in another close game Trident K Matthew Pierce saves the best for last in a battle of field goals as his 49 yarder sails through the uprights late in the fourth to take the fourth consecutive Mountain Cup. the Trident own the Power..........in yet another close game the Bayhawks wait until as late as they can to put up their only points with a QB Klondike Klopp 60 yard TD pass to WR Robert Chang but it is enough to edge out the Dire Wolves. Yukon CB James Piper took the blame afterwards citing his blown coverage on the play..............in the game of the week Anchors QB Connor Manning connects with TE Kurtis Ward to cap a 60 yard game winning TD drive. this is what ULRO is all about! despite the lopsided stats, the Anchors kept Jakarta in the game with missed field goals and turnovers. a sloppy win but one they are thrilled to have.........the undefeated Zippers score on their first five drives while RB William Williams runs amok for 152 yards as Toyoma has no problems handling the Pirates while taking a 3-1 lead in the Oriental Cup. QB Ben Luna stays hot and records his 8th & 9th TD pass on the year with no interceptions.......i will have a power rankings and MVP ladder after week 8......

GG Dublin, Too many turnovers, too much passing, too many points conceded. Sometimes a team just seems to be a thorn in your side ;o(
