Week 2

The Power got a little revenge this week against their division rival trident. The Power got left out of the postseason last year finishing 3rd place in their division trailing the Trident who won the division by only 1/2 a game. The Power lost twice to the Trident last season. Vancouver had an opportunity to win the game but kicker Matthew Pierce missed twice. QB Jaxson Bowers threw an interception at the Calgary 26 on their last drive. On the next play Power full back Clanton tried to give it back but the ball was recovered by his teammate and the Power won.

The Gauchos welcomed Mexico Cities rookie QB Charles Brunswick to the league by intercepting him 5 times, sacking him for a safety and beating the Golden Eagles 34-3.

The Bayhawks and Sharks couldn't settle it in 4 quarters because Sharks kicker Desmond Kearney missed twice in regulation. If he made one of those the Sharks would have won. Instead the Bayhawks kicker was 3 for 3 and made the field goal to win the game in OT.

The Prizefighters start off the season the same way as last season by going 2-0. They are hoping history doesn't repeat itself as last season they lost the next 13 games. They only needed 85 net passing yards to beat the 86ers. But I guess you don't need to pass when you can run 30 times averaging more than 5 YPC.

Last seasons champions were in a tight one against the Anchors. But the Strongbows had luck on their side in this one. They only need 54 passing yards including OT. They only won because Anchors QB Conner Manning threw an INT in OT to set up an easy FG to win the game.

The Owls and Spires had nothing going through 3 quarters. Then the Spires put up 14 in the 4th but the Owls answered with 17 in the 4th quarter. The Spires had a chance to win in OT but the kicker missed a 47 yarder with 16 seconds left. They may not have gotten the win but the Spires through 2 games already have a better record than last seasons 1 win.

The Yukon Dire Wolves get their first win in dominating fashion over the struggling Bushmasters. It's hard to win games when you go 0 for 17 on 3rd down.

The Lions make my team look bad again. I felt like they exposed a weakness in my team. The Stampede are giving up more than 5 yards a carry in the first 2 games but at the same time lead the league in sacks. It's a little confusing I don't know if my D-line is really bad or good but I couldn't wait and see after that humiliation so I traded for 2 DTs after the game.

The Zippers continue to do well with Ben Luna at QB but when will we see the future QB Wendall Yardley who is much closer to being fully developed.
