Week 15

By awest827

The Tornadoes surprisingly struggled to beat the 86ers by 3. Both teams failed to score a TD. But a win is a win, and it keeps Guayaquil’s playoff hopes alive with 7 teams within 1 game of each other in the new world. The Bushmasters win! The Bushmasters win! San Jose was winless with less than 100 points for and more than 300 points against, but they finally won a game. With less than 2 minutes left the Bushmasters converted on 4th and 3. Two plays later Brandon Watts finds Jason Eades for a 75-yard TD and the win. It was only a 7-yard slant but Eades with 87 speed got behind the defense and took it all the way. The Sharks didn’t make it easy on themselves with a bad offensive performance, but they were playing the 1-win Spires who weren’t able to score so it didn’t matter. The Sharks still have a chance to win the division being just ½ a game behind despite the .500 record. The Lions beat the Kings to clinch their division. The Kings had already clinched their division. A win next week against the red-hot Zippers would clinch a first-round bye for the Kings. The Guazues score the only TD but the 4 FGs by the Power win them the game. The Power need a win next week against the leagues best Gauchos. The Trident tried to give the game to the Manta Rays by giving up the turnovers and a safety, but the Manta Rays had nothing working on offense. The Trident have a big game next week to try and make the playoffs versus the Kraken. The Tide aren’t going down without a fight as they have no trouble with the Distillers. The Bayhawks only need to throw 14 passes to beat the Rodeo. The big story from this game is RB Russell Maki goes down with an ankle injury. The good news is he will have a bye week to heel up. But in the meantime, the backup Ladner will have big shoes to fill in an attempt to get home field advantage next week. The Strongbows lose their 4th game in a row and they couldn’t even make it close against the Owls. Dublin needs the Owls to have the same performance next week against Oxford. Speaking of Oxford, they tied the Revolution because the Revolution missed an extra point. The Golden Eagles and the Butchers might have the same record at 9-6, but the Butchers wanted everyone to know who the better team is as they make the Golden Eagles look silly. The Gauchos keep winning. A win next week will secure home field advantage. Quebec didn’t want to play around with the Choppers, so the Kraken scored early and often to clinch a playoff spot. The Anchors want a playoff spot, and they weren’t about to let the lowly prizefighters stand in their way. It might be a little tougher next week when they host the Lions. The Stampede eliminate their division rival Deities. With rookie QB Dennis Cobb starting to complete a few passes it gives the Stampede a chance to win some games.

Nice work, but please can you break up the text into paragraphs to make it easier to read. A wall of text will put people off reading it and it would be a shame after you've made the effort.

awesome write up, awest827...thank you

what a week! cant believe the Bushmasters won....good for them. and what is going on in Dublin? where is RB Left Lane Jones? put him in, Kuestennebel.....he doesnt have covid anymore!

worth noting.....the Bayhawks are one game away from not allowing a sack for the entire season

Power Rankings

Top 8

1. Gauchos
2. Bayhawks
3. Street Urchins
4. Zippers
5. Kings
6. Power
7. Lions
8. Kraken

Strongbows were once 11-0.....after losing 4 straight they have dropped out of the top 8 (sad horn sound)

Bottom 4

32. Bushmasters
31. Prizefighters
30. Spires
29. Mountaineers

MVP Candidates - QB Robert Williams, QB William Cutting, QB Christopher Silcox, RB Russell Maki, RB Winston Arriola, WR Humberto Wenzel, WR White Shoes Johnson,CB Harry Valenti, CB John Anderson, MLB Rudolph Drayton

there will be a poll for MVP voting at conclusion of regular season

PLAYOFF PICTURE

only half of the divisions have been clinched with just one game remaining. this is my best attempt at a playoff scenario summary....it gets complicated

Canada
Kraken, Power & Trident are still in the hunt to win the Canada division, which has proven to be the toughest division in Ultimate Legends RO inaugural season. the Kraken have clinched a wild card and are in the post season regardless, but to earn the Canada banner they will need to win a tough one in Vancouver. a Kraken win would eliminate the Trident from playoffs unless the Butchers, Tide, Golden Eagles & Tornadoes all lose. this scenario would put three Canada teams in the playoffs. Calgary will win Canada if they win and the Kraken lose, but they have a tough match versus the Gauchos. the Trident will win Canada if they defeat the Kraken and the Power lose to the Gauchos

USA
if the Bayhawks win and the Gauchos lose, the Bayhawks will get the New Worlds number one seed. if the Tide defeat the Pirates - who just allowed the Bushmasters only victory - then the Butchers will be eliminated since they lost to the Power (week 6) and the Tide (week 11). if the Butchers win and the Trident, Tornadoes, Golden Eagles and Tide all lose, they will make it

M/CA
the Golden Eagles win the division with a victory in Philadelphia. the Tide win the division with a win and a Golden Eagle loss. if the Golden Eagles lose, they still earn the wild card if the Butchers & Tornadoes both lose. if the Tide lose, they will still earn a spot if the Butchers & Tornadoes both lose. if both the Tide and the Golden Eagles win, the Tide can earn a spot if the Tornadoes, Power & Trident all lose

South America
Gauchos claim New Worlds number one seed with a victory in Calgary. Tornadoes earn a wild card spot with a win and a loss for the Tide,.........apologies, my brain just popped. best of luck to all

Thanks for that Frank ;o)

Great game against the Owls. At one point they had 190 yards of Offense, led 14-9 but had 0 first downs!

I thought we'd done enough in the 4th quarter when we went 3 points up with 90 seconds left. Then we let them get on the fringe of field goal range and the tying field goal barely made it over the bar.

5 seconds from the #1 seed and a week off.

I was wrong....Golden Eagles still had better divisional record
