Rajkot Rajwadi sends:
Arban Batbayar (CB) JC Matthews (LDE) Sonny Trevino (WR) Brazzaville Stampede sends: Carl Winslow (MLB) 2081 Round 3 (Dublin) (This is an automated message. If you believe this trade warrants additional investigation, please contact the league admin.) |

interesting trade, Mathews and Batbayar will need to be resigned this year and at 9 years experience will begin thinking about retirement very soon, but both have been absolutely dominant and injury proof so far. Trevino isn't the most skilled WR but that combo of speed, acc, and strength is absolutely high end.
I do wonder, what is the benefit of assigning an MLB to DT(as Batbyar was when the trade went through) other than possibly they don't retire as early? glad winslow found a quality landing spot but not looking forward to seeing him and badger 2-3 times a year haha.

I didn't want to tell you but since you asked. Batbayar was a 191 pound corner. Since he is in year 9 he has started to decline. If I leave him at corner he will continue to decline and he won't be worth the money to resign. So I get a really good corner for one year but I don't necessarily need him to start at corner. If I move him to LB he will still continue to decline and retire most likely year 12 not worth it to resign. If I move him to DT he can only gain 50 to 60 pounds he will max out around 250 pounds LB weight but he will not decline until year 11 or retire till year 14ish. So instead of getting a corner for one year I get a LB for 3 years without decline and could potentially give him 6 years till he retires.
It was a tough decision to trade for Mathews because of his age but my team has been struggling to get a consistent pass rush. Mathews has been near the league lead in sacks each of the last 4 seasons so hopefully I get the same production from him.

thanks for the info, always looking to learn more, I didn't realize there was a knowable maximum weight a player could reach, is that based on player height?

Btw I did this with Man of Peace your FB. You signed him as a center but he was only 260 pounds because he started as a RB. He didn't start to decline till you moved him back to FB. You can also see Terry McDonald I have him as a center but he is my starting FB. He is in year 11 with no decline he was drafted as a TE. Most of his career he played as a WR at about 215 pounds

It's based on their weight when they are drafted. They can only gain or lose 50 to 60 pounds. Carl Winslow was drafted as a DT he is at 260 pounds and it doesn't look like he is loosing any more weight.

Frankly it was tough call for Rajwadi too.... but last season I made mistake of forgetting to resign 3 of my TOP Defensive stars including Decker and 2 of my ace OL .. so no I have messed up my team a bit ... so we are good to reach playoff but not good enough to make noise so we have to reset a bit.. Matthew is in 9th year and has been 18 sack monster as he is DL he will have.4 more year and possible 5-6 more ... so we debated but really fall in love with Winslow and had to go close the deal to offset and quickly rebuild for the mistake that we made it
