week 9
by frank @ 3/04/2022 6:29 pm
the Golden Eagles move to 9 - 0 with a win over the Anchors. WR Benjamin Penticost rushes for 188 yards and a TD and CB Kirk Hilley has two interceptions

the Zippers save their season and give the Prizefighters their first loss

the 86ers destroy the Sharks while tallying 352 rushing yards, probably a record. WR Lee Maldonado is now on pace for 2516 rushing yards

due to the wild success of high max speed WRs playing at the RB1 position ever since the engine change, the ULRO competition committee is looking into possible rule changes for the 2076 season

the Stampede reclaim the Jungle Cup with a stomping of the Lions

the Rajwadi, Golden Eagles, Bushmasters, Rodeo, Manta Rays, Heroes and 86ers have already matched their win total from last season

Willing to openly discuss this publicly. It's no secret what I chose to do depth chart wise. WRs are lighter; therefore, their speed is quicker. I was away from the game a bit so I assume that is still the case.

The one thing I can't control on here are the amount of time a play is called (run vs. pass). I am 2nd in the league with rushing attempts and 31st in pass. I'm going to put my player (or 2) that can run.

I'm fine to switch Lee and my backup Swart to RBs if you would like the rest of season. All you needed to do is ask. I just fiddle around on here and as I said through DMs, it's just been dumb luck its worked.

And for also consideration, all my OLs are LTs for the weight factor.

league insiders are hinting that the competition committee is leaning towards implementing a rule which declares each teams RB1 must be an RB. it is expected to be instated during the next offseason and will be known as the "Maldonado Rule"

WRs will still be able to be plugged in everywhere else but if they want to be an RB1 an official position change will be needed

roster only simulations are slow enough, but the average yards per carry for a WR seems to be almost a yard more than RBs. also, WRs as RBs don't fumble as much as they should. if they fumbled more often it would offset their production, but that is not the case

the intent of the rule is to slow them down a little..... but not too much. maybe it will help balance the pass/rush balance

So, come next season he can be a RB1 correct?

for about every 7 or 10 lbs of weight a player drops (cant recall specifically) they gain a point of speed.
