awest league snapshot

Biggest result of week 1. In a rematch of the Ultimate Championship, the Rajwadi revenge game was spoiled by RB Pedro Richardson and the Tornadoes. With the help of Richardson's kick return for a TD.

Upset of the week goes to the Golden Eagles who just got a new owner filling the league to full capacity. Thank you JJ for navigating the off-season for the Golden Eagles. Macaws were on the wrong side of this one, they are a perineal threat to make the playoffs but get off to a Rocky start.

After the best season in franchise history the Sharks have had quite possibly the worst off-season in franchise history. BigL made no offers in FA and got no impact players in the draft. Drafting a Punter in the 1st and 3rd rounds yet declined to activate one resulting in an automatic loss to the Lions. BigL has been told multiple times to activate a punter. Hopefully I won't have to remove him.

Next week I'll have my eye on the Revolution vs Bobcats. The Revolution went from conference champions to 5-11 last place in the division and fired their HC. I'm interested to see how they do this season with a last place schedule.

Week 2 the Revolution gave the Bobcats a historic beating. I was interested to see just how historic. From quickly skimming this is the most the Revolution have ever scored in a game. That HC switch is looking pretty good right now.

Huge upset this week as the Lions lose to their former rival Stampede. I'm sure anyone in the Old World who plans to compete for playoffs seeding is saying thank you Stampede. Lions had some early season miscues this week with 2 turnovers and 2 missed FGs.

Luckily for the Lions, the Rajwadi couldn't get it done either falling to a good Heroes team.

Next week I get the prime time game again. This time a rematch of the conference championship game vs the Trident.

Week 3 The Tornadoes and Trident run it back with the same result as last seasons Conference championship a 16-13 Tornadoes win.

The Tide's new owner gets his first win and it's an upset over last seasons division winner Bushmasters. New rookie RB Dennis Black is looking good so far averaging 6.1 YPC in his first 3 games. That's despite being traded before he played a snap for the Spires who drafted him in the 1st round. Some GMs were concerned about his 4.52 40 time saying "78 is not fast tho". Black will look to prove them wrong.

Next week features the Trident again getting a test against a top 3 team. The Trident will look to show me that they belong in the S tier. Last season I considered there to be a clear top 3 then the Trident at the top of the A tier. I'm starting to look at them differently after our last two meetings.

Week 4 The Trident lose another close game vs a top team in a weird game that saw 3 Lions turnovers and the Trident gave up 8 sacks 2 for safeties.

The Zippers are in trouble early going 0-4 to start the season against tough competition. They are always in the mix but will have to step it up if they want a shot at the post season.

You know your in a competitive league when there are only 2 teams to make it through week 4 without a loss. Revolution are one win away from tying last seasons total.

I missed week 5 but I see the Lions lost the game of who has the best kicker in another surprise loss to a divisional opponent. 86ers don't have many wins against the Lions. I'm sure that was a nice surprise for the 86ers.

Week 6 the Revolution offense had a bad day without RB Eric James. Looks like he's back healthy again for next week but the damage was already done as they Leave the Tornadoes as the only undefeated team.

What is going on with the Zippers? 0-6 is very uncharacteristic, and they cut their QB with no good replacement.
