there are three divisions and one conference on the line in week 16
it all comes down to the Kraken vs Dire Wolves for the crown in Canada
in Mexico/Central America both the Tide and Golden Eagles face top 5 teams (Tornadoes & Butchers) in thier attempts to claim the prize. Mexico city needs both a win and a Tide loss
in Asia the Heroes go to Rosario to face the Guazues who happen to be fighting for a wild card spot. Heroes are in regardless. same with the Rajwadi who have an easier path hosting the 7-8 Fire Dragons
neither the Tornadoes or Butchers will be resting players as they are both in a battle for the New World
Zippers lose the tiebreaker to Strongbows due to their week 11 loss in Dublin
congrats to the Strongbows, Deities, Kraken, Tide, Guazues & Bobcats for stamping their post season tickets in week 16
the Revolution have dropped three in a row and find themselves heading into Quebec to face the 7-9 Kraken. if Revolution would have won it would have been the first time the enitre Power 8 got a W
Lions finish on top for second year in a row....they love Franks Power 8
the 5th ranked Butchers claim the Old World with a nice rebound season
Franks Power 8 wanna say i wish i had time to have more fun with the write ups but i am in the middle of a huge life changing project. some bad losses for a few Power 8 teams here in week 10. Praetorians make the grade due to strength of schedule and Heroes finally get thier nod
champs lose two in a row to drop from the top spot but manage to ensure a chance to maintain ownership of the Ultimate Showdown trophy. Rosario is number one for first time (correct me if im wrong) and the top two teams are from South America. it would be fun if they had a week 16 game, but they faced off twice in the first three weeks, each winning away. my guess is that they each finish 2-1, which gives Rosario the division - and the number one seed, unless the Macaws win out, which they very will could
the Bushmasters & Macaws both drew very vanilla schedules.....perhaps the easiest schedule weve ever seen. they both got to face Canada and Oceania, two divisions struggling to produce a 500 team. i cant recall a time we had two divisons struggling as so.......sorta lucky to draw both of them
Strongbows stay in despite a humbling loss to the unowned Gauchos
i want the Zippers to win out so they can go 5-0, 0-5 then 6-0 all in one season, but they have a few tough games ahead. so i guess if they lose this week then i want them to lose out so they can go 5-0, 0-5, 3-0 & 0-3......only because i imagine the whirlwind of rollerocasters that would be for a fan base. kinda represents Phila sports in a nutshell
realized while writing this that the Ultimate Showdown trophy should be named after an Ultimate Legend. i will put up a poll for that if yall wanna drop some suggetions below. right now im thinkin the HC for Brazzaville in 71 & 75 since it may be the first coach to win 2, but not sure if it was the same coach, it is difficult to find that info. you know awest827? and if it wasnt then how about 77 & 78? first team to repeat. or after QB Charles Brunswick he won three including back to back and excelled in each game
seein all these division battles is rad.....with just 3 games remaining six divisions leaders have 1 or less games lead including a bunch of ties to make it even more fun
