I wanted to gauge interest in a USFL/WFL theme league. I also wanted to allow for a dialogue on the league structure and rules before the league is established.
1. I have set up the teams and divisions already. The teams will be static and not customizable by owners. See list below. I will customize the teams using the correct RGB color schemes.
2. If a particular owner wants a team other than what is listed, I will re-customize before the league starts up. For instance, if you want the Jacksonville Sharks instead of the Jacksonville Bulls, we can do that.
3. I have attempted to avoid duplication where possible, which is why there are four long-time Arena League teams included.
4. I am leaning toward standard MFN rules, with a couple exceptions. First, both free agency periods only three days long. (Note Change) Second, setting up a rotating approval committee for trades before they are completed to discourage the practice of veteran owners seeking lopsided trade with new owners.

you could just make the league then once league is made and once people have joined the league where you vote on things then you could have dialogue on the league structure and rules by voting then i would think problem solved.

I want to have the dialogue before I start the league. This allows everyone to be on the same page from day 1, solidify the league's framework, and replace any owner who disagrees with the consensus and withdraws.

I'm game, it'll be interesting with no round 1 trades as that will make top players basically untradable and rebuilding would be in a short FA only. It will be interesting and has pros and cons but definitely an interesting twist. I'd take either Portland or San Jose.

I am reconsidering the ban on trading first-round picks. Perhaps I should instead appoint a trade review committee, rotating among the league members, to review and approve all trades before they are completed.
